Beach Boy Flynn
My mother, Mary Lou Flynn O’Brien, spent a helluva lot of summers on Goose Rocks Beach in Kennebunkport, Maine. She was a big fan of Goldthwaite’s, which is up the road in Biddeford Pool. She loved those mambo onion rings—hand-battered and as good as it gets.
So our man Flynn—who got the name from my mom’s side—gave ’em a try when Gainer and his gang were at Goose Rocks last week. Here’s what the kids’ version of Guy Fieri—or maybe Gordon Ramsay—had to say.
